Creative Apprenticeship Event Success

Even on a wet and cold day in the creative quarter of Nottingham there always seems to be something innovative that begins to evolve

Artisum who as a partner with Nottingham City Council and BEST Social Enterprise presented their first informal Creative Apprenticeship event.

The very nature of the event demonstrated a unique connection between those who were ready to start an apprenticeship and that of creative companies who were there to help and potentially employ individual candidates.

If you can picture a social gathering accompanied with fine quality lunchtime food where people interacted freely expressing their aspirations, then you have clearly seen the vision of theautisum-home2 event. Interviews were arranged for future dates, as informal conversations took place between bites of small eats (supplied by Hartleys) those in attendance included Nick McDonald of Nottingham City Council who is the Portfolio Holder for Jobs and Growth, Anna Mimms MBE CEO of Best Social Enterprise and Tim Bellamy – Managing Director of Artisum.

The objective of the first event was achieved and initially appeared to be a success, by being creative with employment focused events of this size then there can only be one truly positive outcome, that being the commitment to succeed.

Thursday 23rd January 2014 – The Corner, 8 Stoney Street, Lace Market.
