Fashion show 2014

COLOUR blocking will take centre stage at Nottingham’s intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh as the city celebrates ‘48 Hours of Fashion’ on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March.

intu has joined up with HELLO! Fashion Monthly to celebrate a month of fashion at all 15 intu centres across the country.

The latest Spring/Summer trends will be put on display across both shopping centres – with a series of live fashion shows taking place at intu Victoria Centre over the two days. A catwalk display will also be in place at intu Broadmarsh, giving shoppers some colourful inspiration on what to wear this season.

Students from Central College Nottingham will be on hand at intu Broadmarsh to give fashion tips, manicures and advice on show make up as part of the ’48 Hours of Fashion’ celebrations taking place across the city.

Nicola McCabe, marketing manager for both centres, said: “Our fashion events are something that we look forward to every year and, as always, we have some really great activities planned.

“Shoppers at intu Victoria Centre will be in for a real treat as we stage our live fashion shows – there will be tips on how to wear big colours and how to mix these with bags, accessories and jewellery, all of which can be bought from stores within the centre.

“It’s all about ‘letting your true colours shine’ and we’ll be helping customers do just that for their Spring/Summer wardrobes.

“At intu Broadmarsh, we’re also going to be inspiring customers with our special ‘static’ catwalk on Listergate Square, while the beauty and fashion students at Central College Nottingham will be giving free manicures and make up tips.

“There will also be a photographer on hand for Nottingham’s fashionistas to get their very own catwalk ready picture, which will be uploaded onto the intu Broadmarsh Facebook page.”

Shoppers will also be able to get their hands on a free VIP goody bag by registering at or or by signing up to the event on the centre’s Facebook pages. Those visiting the 48 Hours of Fashion events taking place in the Old Market Square will be able to pick up a token that can be exchanged for a goody bag at either one of the two intu centres. (Goody bags are subject to registration and availability).

The live fashion shows at intu Victoria Centre will take place on Friday between 10.30am and 5pm and on Saturday between 10am and 5pm.

Customers also have the chance to win a £500 prize bundle including a £200 intu Gift Card and a Michael Kors watch and handbag, amongst other goodies. Using #intuColour, customers are encouraged to get their best look ready and Pose, Pout, Post and Tag themselves on Instagram using @intuVictoriaCentre and @HelloFashion_uk.

Full details and terms and conditions can be found on line.

The activities taking place at both centres are part of a series of shows and masterclasses showcasing the Spring/Summer collections of retailers across Nottingham for the ’48 Hours of Fashion’ campaign organised by the Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID).
